ngv

On the weekend I went to the National Gallery of Victoria International.
I was wanting to see The Impressionists exhibit, but at 2pm on a Sat the queue was MASSIVE, winding back and forth on the ground floor.
So I decided to visit the "From Paris with Love" and "Zen" temporary exhibitions instead. I've wanted to go see them for a while too, so it worked out perfectly.
And I'm so glad I did. The "Zen" exhibition good, but quite small. The Paris one was excellent! I loved the Toulouse-Lautrec lithographs and also the Picasso ones, before he begun his cubism phase.
I've always loved graphic art and although not as 'romantic' as paintings, I'm fascinated by lithography and whole effort and process. The other medium I love is etchings. One of my favourite pieces in this exhibit is a japanese book, with vivid colour prints.
