Cookie Monster

I went to Cookie Fri night after work for a couple of drinks with the work crew. Apparently my friend Brooke was there at the same time, but the place gets so packed out on a Fri night that I didn't see her.
She left her scarf there that night so we went back on Sun to look for it and to pop in for a beer.
I love the space which is Cookie. It's apparently a converted apartment(s), which I've always eyed off as a great building from The Lounge balcony.
The staff are all quite nice, which is a change from the rude mofo's at Aalia & pretty much everywhere else, except the friendly folks at Robot. Waves to the "Jamie Oliver/Harry Kewell"-like bartender.
For some reason we always think that is expensive at Cookie, but it's really not. I must be the cleanliness, lovely long bar, reasonably quick service for a belgium beer serving place (oh the whole routine!!), well-lit atmosphere, reasonably priced restaurant section with table service, belgium/imported beers which seem to be all the rage at the moment?? (It seems that every second place I go to has Hoegaarden and Asahi on tap, which is great!)

With Azure Wireless, I could easily spend a cold arvo there under the heaters with a nice beer in hand, if only access wasn't so expensive - it would eat into the beer-budget.
